The San Ramon campus facilities include administration, laboratory, classroom, library, and community center buildings; as well as, associated ground-level parking, and open‑space landscaping. The library serves as a dual facility serving as a community library as well as the college library. The San Ramon Campus of DVC opened in November 2006 and now serves over 5,000 students of all ages and interests each semester.

E
Engeo's Role

ENGEO proudly provided a wide scope of services on this community project including geotechnical exploration and geologic hazard evaluation. Additionally, ENGEO administered earthwork testing and observation services during site grading, and special inspection and materials testing services during building construction.

C
Challenges

Dual Compliance

The campus’s shared library facility required design and construction oversight in accordance with differing specifications mandated by both the Local (Contra Costa County) level and State (DSA) Level. In order to meet these demands, extremely close coordination and constant communication were needed between ENGEO, local inspectors, and state inspectors. By utilizing state-of-the-art field reporting and ENGEO mobile internet facilities all stakeholders were provided customized real-time confirmation of project compliance.
