ENGEO’s U.S. Summer Interns Undeterred by the Global Pandemic

Despite the COVID climate, ENGEO hosted another successful season for 11 interns. We continue to be impressed with the initiative and motivation from students in the earth sciences field. Parker Blunts, a Graduate student at Cal Berkeley, said

“My internship at ENGEO has been a great and invaluable experience in my early career development. I have so much appreciation and respect for everyone at ENGEO! ”

With new health and safety procedures including social distancing and wearing a face mask, our interns were able to observe firsthand how a firm responds to a crisis such as a global pandemic. Each intern jumped right into action with our engineers, getting their hands dirty at project sites, in the laboratories, and contributing to technical reports. Lindsey Jacobs, a Graduate student at UCLA, said

“I really enjoyed working (at ENGEO) because I got to see a project from so many different angles… I also saw how ENGEO deals with projects and obstacles internally. Overall it really felt like I was a part of the team.”

Excellent work and we wish you all the best in your future academia and career endeavors.
