ENGEO’s Guam Laboratory is Now AASHTO Accredited

San Ramon, CA – ENGEO’s materials testing laboratory in Harmon, Guam is now AASHTO Accredited for concrete and aggregate testing. Obtaining AASHTO Accreditation in Guam continues our commitment to excellence and allows us to provide more comprehensive capabilities to the island. We are expecting additional AASHTO accreditation for soil testing at our Guam lab soon.

The AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP) formally recognizes the competency of testing laboratories to perform specific tests on construction materials. In addition to being the largest accrediting body in the construction materials industry, the AAP is also the most widely-accepted.

In addition, ENGEO hosted the American Concrete Institute (ACI) in our laboratory for the instruction and testing of ACI Certifications for Guam residents and industry professionals. It was a pleasure working with ACI proctor/instructor Mark Dornak who traveled to Guam from Texas. We’d also like to recognize and thank Smithbridge Guam for the donation of concrete materials, Hawaiian Rock Products Guam for the use of C157 equipment, AmOrient for organizing the process, and the Guam Contractors Association Trades Academy Inc. for their support. This was a great example of the island coming together for its professionals.

ENGEO maintains seven soil and materials testing laboratories managed by registered geotechnical engineers. ENGEO’s laboratories are accredited through USACE, AASHTO Re:source, Caltrans, and DSA. Quality assurance programs such as AASHTO Re:source and CCRL are utilized for laboratory control and quality assurance.
