Senior Water Resources Project Engineer - Open

Education/Experience Necessary: M.S. in Water Resources or related field (required), California PE registration; minimum 5 years recent, professional, San Francisco Bay Area work experience in surface water hydrology; commitment to ongoing continuing education opportunities with ever-changing stormwater trends, technologies and legislation, experience with construction and implementation as well as design, HEC-1, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS software and AutoCAD 2005 a plus. Candidate must be computer literate, proficient using Microsoft Office products, well organized and have excellent communication, business/relationship development skills and a strong commitment to serving clients and peers.

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for managing large water resources projects, maintaining, enhancing and building relationships with existing and new clients, as well as mentoring staff. Candidates should be strong communicators with solid project management skills and have demonstrated experience with San Francisco Bay Area water resources issues, such as creek restorations, stormwater and watershed management, ecosystem and wetland restoration, and water quality. Candidates must thrive in a high-performing, multi-disciplinary atmoshpere.

Special Inspector - Always accepting resumes

Education/Experience:  ACI, ICC reinforced concrete inspector and AWS certification. Pre-stressed concrete, structural steel and welding, structural masonry ICC certification cards a plus; college classes in science or engineering, construction or related field experience preferred.  Must have good writing skills and working computer knowledge.  Must have good driving record, a dependable truck and be able to transport 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.

Position Summary: With ACI, ICC and AWS certifications, performs field duties which include post-tension and conventional reinforcing steel inspection, concrete placement inspection, masonry inspection, sampling and testing, high-strength bolting and welding inspections done at various project sites.  Must use a laptop computer to provide written documentation of test results and observations on a daily basis.  Team-player. Good communication skills and excellent client service skills required.

Project Engineer - Always accepting resumes

Education/Experience Necessary: M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering; California PE registration(required); 3-5 years-professional experience; seismic and GIS experience a plus; proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products.

Position Summary: Design of earth-retaining structures, slope stabilization, remedial grading, landslide mitigation, development of plans and specifications, foundation design, settlement analyses, liquefaction analyses seismic evaluation. Development of geotechnical recommendations for construction for private and public projects. Field work includes exploratory logging, observation of pier and pile installation, and observation of grading operations. On a project-specific, multi-disciplinary basis, perform defined field, analytical, and project administrative responsibilities with regular technical review from project management, particularly focused on non-routine matters. May be assigned increasingly more complex, non-routine tasks with review and oversight from project management. Candidates must have a good driving record, excellent communication/writing skills and be able to transport 30 lbs on a consistent basis. Candidates will ideally have business/relationship development skills while possessing a strong commitment to serving clients and peers. Education/Experience Necessary: M.S. degree in Geotechnical Engineering (required); 1-3 years-professional/relevant internship experience (preferred), E.I.T, Proficient in AutoCAD 2005 and Microsoft Office Products. Seismic and GIS experience a plus.
